Indian-origin doctor in US found not guilty of performing lewd act next to minor on flight

A 33-year-old Indian-origin doctor in the US has been acquitted of charges of allegedly exposing himself and performing a lewd act next to a teenage girl onboard a flight. Dr Sudipta Mohanty, an internal medicine and primary care doctor, was found not guilty after a three-day trial in the Boston federal court. Mohanty's attorney described him as a talented and dedicated medical doctor with no history of wrongdoing. Prosecutors expressed disappointment with the outcome of the case.

Indian origin transport minister of Singapore, S Iswaran, pleaded not guilty of 27 charges labelled against him on Thursday.
