Nine-year-old Indian-American listed in world's brightest students list

Nine-year-old Indian-American schoolgirl Preesha Chakraborty from Fremont, California, has earned the Grand Honors designation on the world's brightest students list curated by the Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth (JH-CTY). Preesha excelled in verbal and quantitative sections of the test, reaching the 99th percentile comparable to advanced Grade 5 performances. The results were based on her success in above-grade-level assessments given to nearly 16,000 students from 90 countries. Her parents said that she has always been interested in learning.
