Indo-Canadian truck driver charged for possessing 52-kg suspected cocaine

A 27-year-old Indian-origin commercial truck driver, Manpreet Singh from Brampton, has been charged by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) after more than 100 pounds of suspected cocaine were seized at the Blue Water Bridge port of entry in Point Edward, Ontario. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) discovered the drugs during a secondary examination of Singh's truck. Singh was arrested on December 4 and is now facing charges of importing cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
