Indian student dies from accidental carbon monoxide poisoning in Canada
A 25-year-old Indian student died from carbon monoxide poisoning in Canada. Emergency services responded to a gas leak at a home in Kitchener city and found dangerously high levels of carbon monoxide. The source was a car left running in the garage. Seven individuals, including the victim, were hospitalized. The victim, a recently graduated international student from India, was the first to wake up and collapsed upon opening the garage door. No working carbon monoxide alarms were found in the home, despite being mandatory in Ontario.
