CBI brings back accused in rape case from UAE

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has brought back Midhun V V Chandran, an accused wanted by the Karnataka police in connection with a rape case. CBI coordinated with INTERPOL NCB - Abu Dhabi, Karnataka Police, Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi, Ministry of External Affairs for his return from UAE. A Red notice was issued by CBI against him on January 20, 2023. Through close coordination and follow-up, CBI has successfully returned 26 criminals wanted by Indian law enforcement agencies from abroad in 2023.
