Malaysian-Indian jailed for drug trafficking in Singapore

A 25-year-old Indian-origin Malaysian man has been sentenced to 10 years in jail and ten strokes of the cane for drug trafficking in Singapore. The man, who worked as a cleaner, pleaded guilty to two charges of attempted possession of drugs with the intention of trafficking. He became involved in drug trafficking after his supervisor, who owed money to a person called "Boss," agreed to traffic drugs to repay the debt.
