USCIS plans big changes to H-1B visa; many Indians likely to be impacted

The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has proposed a rule to modernize the H-1B specialty occupation worker program. The new rule aims to streamline eligibility requirements, improve program efficiency, and strengthen integrity measures. One significant change is that each individual will only be entered into the selection process once, regardless of the number of registrations submitted on their behalf. This will reduce the advantage of submitting multiple registrations and increase the chances of a legitimate registration being selected.
