Saddened & disturbed by recent hate crimes against Sikhs: Indian-origin mayor in New Jersey

The mayor of Hoboken, New Jersey, Ravi S Bhalla, has condemned the recent hate crimes against Sikhs in the US, calling them "reprehensible" acts of violence. Bhalla, who is the only Sikh American mayor in the country, expressed concern over the rising hate crimes targeting the Sikh community. He pledged to speak out and take action against any form of discrimination and emphasized the importance of unity and acceptance. The Sikh community has seen a surge in hate crimes recently.

Indian origin transport minister of Singapore, S Iswaran, pleaded not guilty of 27 charges labelled against him on Thursday.
