Indian Americans celebrate Diwali by providing 'Jaipur Foot' prostheses to differently-abled in North East

Jaipur Foot US (JFU) chapter plans to provide free Indian-made prostheses, including the Jaipur Foot, to hundreds of differently-abled people in the Northeast. The initiative is supported by a Florida-based donor and will include other equipment such as hearing aids and wheelchairs. JFU expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for partnering with their parent organization, BMVSS, in this initiative. The ongoing camps, sponsored by the Government of India, are part of the "India for Humanity" initiative to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary.
