Indian-origin SIA steward wins plaudits for trying to save a driver

Indian-origin flight steward Venoth Balasubramaniam of Singapore Airlines (SIA) received the CEO Service Excellence Award for saving a hired car driver's life en route to work. Using his first-aid training and experience, he performed CPR, reviving the driver. Balasubramaniam was also recognized for his personalized passenger service, remembering names and details, setting an example for fellow crew members.
